Services Overiew and Use
This article will assist you with understanding services and the areas of use in your tenant site
Servies in eCaring drives various areas of your tenant. Proper set-up will streamline the use of eCaring and create an efficient and streamlined experience. Review the following areas for set-up and use.
Setup:
The first step in creating and using services is set-up, to review seeder services and to add new services to the Admin Dashboard.
Select Services from the menu
The services dashboard allows you to edit seeder services and to add new services. Services must be entered here to add to payors, authorizations, payroll rates, and scheduling.
To Review current seeders:
Prior to entering new services, review the seeders currently in your tenant. To review the seeder select the edit icon.
Review the information within the seeder service.
All areas with a red asterisk are required, based on your payroll company, you may also be required to enter Payroll Code and Payroll item.
To Add a New Service
Select the Add New button and complete the information.
Associate to a Payor
Once the services are reviewed and entered, the next step of the services setup are to associate then with payors. All services authorized by the payor for you to provide will need to be enter in the payor profile. Private Pay payors will also need to completed.

To access the Payor Dashboard select Payors
To associate a service to a payor select directly on the payor name.
Select Add new
Complete the information in the box, all areas with a red asterisk are required, additional fields maybe required for evv or payor billing submission.
All services will need to be entered prior to entering authorizations. Authorizations are required to schedule.
Staff Profile:
When entering a new staff profile Authorized Services are required. This area will identify which services the staff member is authorized to provide for compliance as well as staff and client safety.
To access, Authorized Services select Edit Profile in the corresponding staff profile.
All authorized services should be listed here. If a service cannot be found in the drop down list, it will need to be added in the Services area of the Admin Dashboard.
Services Authorized can also be viewed directly from the Staff Dashboard
Staff Payroll:
Authorized Services will also need a corresponding Payroll Rate for the staff. If the service and/or payroll rate is not entered this staff will not populate for scheduling.
To review or to enter Payroll Rates select Payroll in the Staff Profile
Review the current rates to ensure all authorized services have a corresponding rate entered.
To add in additional payrate select the Add New button and complete the following fields and save.
Client Profile:
Services are used for Authorizations and Task assignment in the client profile. Prior to entering a schedule, the Authorization must be completed. All services will require seperate authorizations to ensure proper billing and authorized staff to be scheduled.
To view current authorizations or enter a new authorization access the client profile and select Authorizations.
All authorizations are listed here, to enter a new authorization select Add New and complete the required fields, additional fields may need completed based on your payor and submission type.

Client Tasks:
When providing care to the client, tasks are assigned for the staff member to complete in the client Care Plan. Tasks are also associated by service type to ensure compliance, correct billing, as well as to ensure the staff member is authorized to provide assistance with the task completion. To review current tasks or to add new tasks, select Care Plan in the Client profile.
In this area you can review the current tasks with the associated service.

Reporting:
Services can also be used in Reporting. One example can be found in the Reports area for the Visits report.
