Release Notes - June 2026
Updates to the eCaring Platform released June 15, 2026.
eCaring Release Notes
This release includes updates to EVV workflows, billing and authorization accuracy, scheduling performance, reporting visibility, payroll exports, messaging, and mobile login access.
Billing & Authorizations
Same-day, same-service EDI billing support
eCaring now supports EDI claim scenarios where the same client receives multiple visits of the same service on the same date.
If your agency has clients receiving multiple visits of the same service on the same calendar day, review the payer’s Billing Settings and consider updating EDI Claim Line Item Content from Visit to Day where appropriate.
Value: Helps prevent EDI rejections for payers that expect same-day services to be grouped by day instead of listed separately by visit.
Authorization display improvements
Client Service Authorizations now display current EVV Payer ID and Procedure Code values more accurately.
Previously, the authorization screen could display values from when the authorization was created, even though current values were correctly used for EVV and Billing.
Value: Reduces confusion when reviewing authorizations, EVV setup, and billing configuration.
EVV
Billing warning for unapproved EVV visits
When creating a billing batch, eCaring now warns users if the batch includes EVV visits that are not approved.
Value: Helps teams identify unresolved EVV issues before billing.
Automatic re-sync after EVV-related staff updates
When EVV-related staff fields are corrected, rejected EVV visits will now automatically be re-sent to the EVV aggregator.
Value: Reduces manual re-sync work after correcting staff information.
Improved auto re-sync timing
Auto re-sync logic has been updated so failed visits are not re-submitted before the client is approved.
Value: Reduces unnecessary EVV traffic and avoidable rejections.
Florida EVV referring physician warning
For Florida EVV, users are now informed when a referring physician is required during authorization creation.
Value: Helps prevent submission issues caused by missing physician information.
HHAeXchange EVV Monitor cleanup
HHAeXchange-linked clients are now hidden from the EVV dashboard Clients section when they are not expected to be submitted according to HHAeXchange specifications.
Value: Reduces confusion caused by clients appearing as pending when they should not be sent.
Scheduling & Visit Management
Open Schedule view
The Open Schedule view is now available from the Schedule screen under Open Status. By default, it displays the next 14 days of visits with no assigned caregiver and allows users to schedule visits directly from that view.
Value: Helps schedulers quickly find and fill open visits.
Recurrence updates now process in the background
When recurrence edits are saved, eCaring now processes those updates in the background.
While processing, users are prevented from making additional edits. If the visit is reopened before processing completes, users will see a message with an option to cancel pending changes and make additional updates.
Value: Improves performance and reduces timeout issues when editing large recurring schedules.
Sick and Vacation time updates process in the background
When Sick Time or Vacation Time is entered through Availability, impacted visits are now updated through a background job.
Value: Improves responsiveness and reduces timeout errors when many visits are affected.
Printable schedule status selection
When generating and printing a Schedule PDF, users can now select which visit statuses to include. Previously, the PDF only displayed Scheduled visits.
Value: Printed schedules can now better reflect the visits your team wants to review or distribute.
Care Circle messaging for Open Visits
Staff who were previously excluded from a Care Circle and later added back will now appear correctly as messaging options after the exclusion is lifted.
Value: Improves messaging accuracy for Open Visit notifications.
Reporting
Visits Report address fields and filters
The Visits Report now includes start and end service address fields and filters.
Value: Agencies can find shifts in specific areas, including Open Shifts, and identify markets where additional staffing may be needed.
Payroll Preview export fix
Payroll Preview exports now correctly display Staff First and Last Name instead of [object Object].
Value: Payroll exports are easier to review and reconcile.
Insights dashboard display cleanup
Travel and rate columns have been hidden from Insights dashboards.
Value: Dashboards are cleaner and easier to review.
Low Margin screen improvements
Minor enhancements were made to the Low Margin screen in Scheduling.
Value: Improves usability when reviewing lower-margin shifts.
Mobile & Access
SMS login invitations and password resets
Users can now send login invitations by text message as an alternative to email. SMS can also be used for password resets.
Value: Helps caregivers and staff access eCaring more easily when email is not the preferred option.
Platform Stability & Data Consistency
Several behind-the-scenes updates were made to improve data consistency and workflow behavior:
- Visits ended through a recurrence or authorization now receive Cancel Reason = System when appropriate.
- Completed background jobs are hidden from the portal queue list after completion.
- Cancellation Reason setting changes no longer retroactively update payable/billable flags on visits cancelled before the setting change.
- Cancelled Sick or Vacation time entered through Availability now uses System as the cancellation reason where appropriate.
- Illinois EVV reason code handling was corrected for a scenario where a visit could be sent without a VisitCode.
