Payroll Premiums

Review how to manage and apply payroll premiums.

Payroll Premiums are additional compensation that are applied during the payroll verification process or during scheduling. Below to the process to create a payroll premium and apply it to a visit through scheduling or verification.

Step 1: Add Payroll Premium to master list

Navigate to the Payroll Premium list by selecting Admin from the toolbar, then select Payroll Premium from the menu. 

Select Add New

Complete the Add Premium box

Name: Enter the name of the payroll premium

Amount: The amount of the premium to be applied (based on an hourly basis, i.e an extra $2.00/hr would be entered as 2.00)

Office: Select the office this is applied to; if this is a universal payroll premium, you can leave this section blank

Payor: Select the payor this payroll premium applies to; if this payroll premium can be used with any payor, you can leave this section blank

Service: Select the service this payroll premium can be used with; if universal, you can leave this section blank

Click Save when complete.

The payroll premium will now appear in the master list. 

Step 2: Apply to a schedule

You can apply a Payroll Premium when creating a schedule or editing a shift. 

To apply to a new recurring schedule select the payroll premium from the dropdown in the Add Recurring Schedule box.

To apply to an existing shift hover your mouse over the shift you would like to change in the calendar view. 

Select Edit This Visit.

Select the Premium you would like to apply from the Premiums dropdown menu then click Save.

Step 3: Apply During Verification

You can apply a payroll premium during the verification process. 

Click the blue Edit button of the shift you would like to add the payroll premium to open Shift Details. 

The Premiums dropdown menu is located in the bottom left section titled Payroll Overrides. Select the Premium you wish to apply and select Save & Verify or Save.

You can confirm the changes by opening Shift Details again, and seeing the Premium (Per Hr) is now listed and the selected Premium displays under Payroll Overrides.
