How to view the Calendar and Authorizations

This article will review the Calendar in eCaring as well as how to easily view authorizations

To view a Client's Calendar, navigate to the client profile and select Schedule

At the top of the calendar you will see various options:

  1. This area will allow you to easily switch between Calendar or Grib view as well as a list of Recurring shifts scheduled.
  2. View the calendar as weekly or monthly, as well as edit the date viewing
  3. This area allows you to easily complete the following tasks:
    1. Print: easily create a pdf file of the calendar in the current view
    2. Email: easily email the calendar to others (email must be in the profile to use this feature)
    3. Add Recurrence: easily select an authorization and schedule recurrences
    4. Add Shift: add a single shift

5.  This toggle allows you to control the viewing of authorizations

If you are viewing authorizations, your calendar will have a similar view as shown:

If you don't see an authorization, please review the authorization from your Client's Authorization Dashboard to verify effective dates.

This view displays weekly and bi-weekly authorizations as spanning bars showing payer code, service code, hours used/total, and frequency, while other authorization types appear in a compact format at the top of your calendar. The system now calculates remaining hours in real-time as schedules change, and clicking any authorization opens a detailed modal showing complete information including authorization details, valid period, hour breakdowns (authorized, completed, scheduled, remaining), and quick edit access - all designed to help your team stay within authorization limits while making scheduling more efficient.
