How to Enable Shift Override Confirmation
This article will review the Shift Override Confirmation setup and feature details
The Shift Override Confirmation feature allows you to enforce documentation requirements related to Billing and Payroll overrides on a visit. When adding an override to a visit from the "Shift Details" screen (clicking "Save"), users, depending on your agency setting, will be prompted to enter a note to document the reason for the override.
You can determine whether this feature is on or off, if turned on, you'll be able to control whether it's optional or required to enter a note. We've also added the ability to hover over the "Override" icon at the top of the shift details page and display the override note. Additionally, these notes will also be displayed in the associated client and caregiver's Notes section.
To Setup the Shift Override Confirmation:
Navigate to the Systems Dashboard
Select Financial
Select Shift Details Override Not (Required)
Select the option you would like for your eCaring setup
Then Select Save Settings at the top of the page
Feature Details:
Enabled and Required:
If this option is selected, when making changes to the shift details all users will be required to enter a note in regards to the changes made prior to saving.
Enabled but NOT Required:
When saving the changes the text box will appear but will not be required for saving changes.
Disabled:
User will have the ability to make changes without creating a note.
