How to Create a Custom Private Pay Rate
This article will review the steps to customize private pay bill rates on the individual client level.
Private Pay Bill Rates can be customized at the client level. In the event a client is billed at a different rate than the rate created in the Payor Profile, you can override the current rate to a custom rate.
Step 1:
Access the client profile and Select Billing
Step 2:
In the Custom Private Pay Rates area select Add New. This option is only for Private Pay and will not override rates entered in Payor Rates or other payors.
Step 3:
Update fields and Save. Areas with a red asterisk are required fields.
- Service Code: Select the service code for the rate
- Service Code Override: This rate prepopulates and can be updated if needed
- Bill Rate: Enter custom bill rate for the client
- Units: Enter the unit type that corresponds to this service type
- Round Units: Select the rounding rule for the service type
- Effective Date: Enter the effective date. Note: If you are entering a schedule for today, you will want to backdate to allow scheduling.
