eCaring Release Notes

2503_scheduling and calendar changes

New Scheduling Features

  • We've introduced a new "Quick Action" pop-up, now, when you hover over a visit, you'll see a new pop-up menu with quick actions you can take. From here you can directly send the client or caregiver a text message (as long as they have a "mobile" number), edit the visit or recurrence, Cancel the visit or perform a Manual Clock-in/Out.

  • Recurring Visit Icon - Recurring Visits are now denoted with a circular icon with arrows on the calendar, making it easier than ever to identify whether a visit is an individual visit or part of a recurring schedule!

  • The ability to edit Recurring Schedules from the Calendar! When you hover over a recurring visit, if you want to edit ONLY that appointment choose "Edit this Visit", if you want to edit the entire recurrence, choose "Edit Recurrence". You no longer have to go to the "Recurring" tab to modify these types of schedules.

2503_shift details statuses and audit log

Shift Details Updates

  • We have added an Audit Log to the Shift Details screen that will allow you to see changes made to each visit, click the small icon in the top left corner (red arrow in the picture above). The audit log will show you the change that was made, the user that made it, as well as the values that were changed. This audit log will be available to users with the role of "Manager" in your site. This is a brand new feature and we'll continue to bring updates to make the information "friendlier", but we welcome feedback and questions in the meantime!

  • Status Icons - We've updated the status icons to now show the Date a visit was Verified, Billed, or Paid!

  • Additionally - as you can see in the image below - we've made it possible to directly verify, or unverify, a visit from the Shift Details page. Now, when you're adding an override or reviewing a shift, you can save your changes and verify the visit in one, easy step!

2503_verification UI improvements

Verification Page and Workflow Updates

To improve the usability of one of the most important pages in eCaring, we've made a number of updates to the control as well as the behaviors.

  • In the orange square you can see that the "Action" buttons will now ALWAYS show on the right side of your screen, no matter your screen size, you can still scroll horizontally, which is also ALWAYS visible now to see all of the columns.

  • We've added the ability to Select "Columns" (red arrow) all Columns are displayed by default but you can hide those you're not using. Just click "Columns" to expand the menu and choose your selection, just like in reporting.

  • Improved tool tips (blue arrow), hovering over "Verification", "Billed" and "Paid" will now show you the date that the action was completed. Verification date will only display for visits verified AFTER this release.

  • We've also improve the behavior of the Verification page, when you Save or Verify a visit in Shift Details, exiting the modal will now return you to your previous spot in the Verification grid instead of returning you to the top of the grid.

  • We've improve the way In-Grid filtering works with other features and filters on the page, now, if you filter by a specific column and then use the "Select All" function to Bulk Verify visits, only those currently displayed will be Verified instead of all results from any page filters.

  • We've also added the Verified, Paid, and Billed dates as available Fields in the Reporting -> Visits.

Additional New Features and Enhancements

Searchable Billing IDs

  • We've introduced the ability to search by Client Billing IDs in the quick search bar in the upper right corner of the portal.

Doc Type Enhancements

  • We've added a new field in Doc Types called "Completed By". This will allow you to customize your Client and Staff document templates and capture who completed a certain Doc Type.

Payer Table Updates

  • We've made updates to the Payers Table to improve your user experience. We've updated Column labels to better describe the information displayed, added a new column to show the Payer Type, updated the Page's filter to show only your "Active" payers, AND we've made it so that all payers will display on a single page and are sorted Alphabetically. -> https://app.ecaring.com/v2/payors

Bug Fixes

  • We resolved an issue where the drop down menu would disappear when selecting an option on various screens like adding documents, updating sick balance, or adding someone to a care circle.

  • We have addressed a bug where Unverifying a Cancelled visit would set the visit back to a Status = Scheduled. Unverifying a Cancelled visit will now keep the Cancellation Reason as the Visit Status.

  • We've made improvements to parent services and child services with how they handle Shift tasks. If your client care plan includes tasks associated with both a Parent Service and Child Service, when a visit is for a Child Service, the visit will display tasks from both the Parent and Child task set from the Care Plan.

  • We've addressed a bug that prevented Office Staff from marking Inbound Messages as Read or Unread.

  • We have addressed a bug with the "Period" filter that was introduced with our recent billing changes that was impacting visits on the last day of the billing period.

  • We fixed a bug where creating a new client resulted in "Invalid DateTime" as the status effective date. The status effective date will now reflect the client's profile creation date.

  • EVV Aggregator related improvements and updates
