eCaring Staff Mobile App - How To
This article reviews how to use the eCaring Staff mobile app for iOS (iPhone)
Sign In Page:
Enter your email and password. If you forgot your password, click Forgot Your Password and follow the instructions sent to your email.

Home Page
The page displays a variety of information, but most importantly, this is where to find your schedule and complete your shift note.
The top section of the screen displays your greeting, "Hello!" and a summary of your scheduled shifts for the week. *Potential Earnings is strictly an estimate. This does not take into account taxes, healthcare, etc.*

The schedule displays the current day and the 6 coming days. *Scrolling will hide the top section of this page.
You can view the following information for each shift on this page:
Date
Client's Name and Address
Clock In and Clock Out Time
Service to be Provided
Clock In Status

There are four statuses for Clock In.
1. Clock-In
2. Overdue: Shift is past the start time
3. Not within Range: Aide is outside of the geofence or the app does not have permission to access Location
4. Unavailable: The shift is not able to be clocked in because it is occurring on a different day.
Clocking In and Documentation
To clock in to a shift select the Overdue or Clock In option.

You'll be prompted to confirm that you want to clock in for this shift.
Select Yes, Clock In. (Close will cancel the clock in)

You'll be prompted to complete the Client Assessment. This does not need to be completed until the end of the shift.
To complete the shift (activities) note, select the yellow Activity button.
- Miles (optional): Enter the number of miles you traveled during your shift if you are eligible to be reimbursed. You can elaborate on your mileage in the Notes section underneath.
- Visit Summary (required): Enter a summary of your visit according to your employer's requirements. There must be something entered in this note.
- Concern Level (required) and Incidents (optional): Select a Concern Level and if any Incidents occurred, select Incident then choose from the menu you are provided.
- Staff Signature (required): Select Signature to sign your note. You'll be automatically directed to a signing box, use your finger to sign your name. Click Save when complete.
- Client Signature (required): If you are unable to collect a client signature, toggle the button to green to indicate it as such. If you are collecting a client signature, complete the same steps as Staff signature.
- Tasks (Required): Select Tasks to open the assigned tasks to be completed. Toggle the tasks that have been completed and add a comment to the tasks that were not completed.
- Save or Save and Submit: The grey arrow cancels the note. The yellow button saves the note to edit later on, the red timer button saves and submits the note.
Collecting Signatures
When you select Signature for Client or Staff you'll be directed to the page below:
- Once the signature is added, click Save.
*Tip: If your screen stays rotated and this is an issue, adjust the screen rotation settings for your phone

The signatures will display once saved.

Documenting Tasks
Once you select the Tasks options you will brought to the assigned task menu.

1) When a task has been completed, toggle the button so it turns green. This indicates the task has been completed.
2) For any task that has not been completed it is required to add a comment explaining why the task was not completed.
*You may also add comments to tasks that have been completed, but comments are only required for tasks that are not completed.

Once you have completed recording your tasks you may clock out.
- Grey Arrow: Back out of the note without saving progress
- Yellow Save Button: Save your progress to come back and finish the note
- Red Submit Button: Submit your note and Clock Out. The note must be submitted to clock out of the visit.

Once you click the red button to submit your note you will be automatically directed to the homepage.
Once you clock out you will see a green banner at the top of your screen that reads "Success. You have been clocked out of this visit."
You will see your updated Clock-In and Clock-Out time displayed as well.
