Holiday & Differential Pay

Holiday Pay

Step 1: Navigate to the Differentials page by selecting Admin from the main toolbar and then select Differentials from the left hand menu. 

If you have current differentials entered, you will see them listed here. 

To add a Holiday differential, click "Add New" and complete each section. 

Section 1

Differential Name: Enter the holiday name

Status: Make sure this is set to Active

Category: Select "Holiday"

Type: Select "By Date"

Start Date & End Date: Enter the date the holiday in both sections. Such as 12/25 for start and end date for the Christmas holiday. *Note if no end date is entered the holiday rate will be applied for every single day following the holiday.

You may include a description if needed. 

Section 2

Enter the amount of Holiday pay.

This can be entered as a percentage. For example, 50% would be a Holiday rate of an additional 50% of a caregiver's hourly rate. 

This can also be entered as a flat dollar amount. For example, $1.50 amount would be an extra $1.50 on top of the caregiver's hourly rate.

The amount is applied PER HOUR OR UNIT worked by the caregiver. 

Section 3

Start Date & End Date: Enter the same dates that you entered in Section 1.

All Hours: To pay for any time worked during the date selected, check off this box. This will pay the Holiday rate for any time worked between 12:00am and 11:59pm. 

Start & Stop Time: If you do not want to pay for any hours worked on the selected date, you may choose a specific range, such as 3:00pm start time and 11:00pm end time.

 

Click Save once finished.
